BhavisyaPlastTM is our patented, award-winning, agri-waste derived, 100% bio-degradable, thermosetting plastic priced at par with petro-plastic relative to 3x costlier alternatives. It is translucent, printable, has excellent adhesion on paper, aluminium etc. if coated directly during formation, or even by using an adhesive by using BhaviysaPlastTM film. It is stitch able, heat resistant, doesn’t melt at all, and hence is suitable for replacing flexible PVC and other high temperature applications unlike LDPE and HDPE.

The manufacturing process will have two components – the chemical process (now patented, PCT filed in 140 countries) and mechanical process – in-house customisation – Intellectual Property protection in progress) – thus the complete package will be offered as a license, the first commercial reference for which is set to commence production in Q3 2025.
Not only is it suitable for replacing LDPE in labels and multi-layer packaging, but also for replacing flexible PVC in electrical, electronic and automotive applications, coatings, paints etc. Its excellent binding properties can be leveraged to convert all kinds of organic waste e.g. wood, wool, food, etc. into premium insulation.
While it cannot be continuously exposed to water for more than 10 minutes (beyond which it will start to disintegrate) and hence cannot be used to store water-based, acid-based or alkali-based liquids at present, it is suitable for other non-water-based solvents like alcohols and can be developed for this application in 1-2 years. Intermittent exposure to water for e.g. accidental exposure to a spill or rain followed by wipe off or drying can be used to regain the structure.
